Coming to the Microsoft Store
Disk Space Analyzer
See what is eating your drive, then take it back safely.
Scan any disk or folder in seconds, view a colour map of what takes space, find the largest and oldest files, and see what grew since last time. Everything stays on your PC. Nothing is deleted without your say-so.
We will link the Store listing here the day it is live. Until then there is nothing to download.
What it does
Pick a drive or any folder and the scan starts at once. Results appear as it works, so you are never staring at a blank window.
When it finishes you get a colour map of your folders, a list with sizes, the 500 largest files, a breakdown by file type, and a comparison with your last snapshot.
Colour treemap
Big squares are big folders. Click to zoom in, click the path at the top to zoom out.
Folder list
Size, share of the parent folder and file count for every folder.
500 largest files
Filter by age, type and size to find the old installers and forgotten downloads.
File type breakdown
See whether it is videos, installers, caches or something else.
Changes since last time
Save a snapshot, scan again later, and see which folders grew.
Plain-English explanations
What hiberfil.sys, WinSxS, Windows.old, browser caches and Docker disks are, and the safe way to clean each.
The small print, in plain English
Safe by design.
- Moves items to the Recycle Bin only after you confirm. It never deletes permanently.
- Refuses to touch Windows system folders.
- Tells you how many folders it could not read, so you never trust an incomplete total.
- Works offline. No account. No ads. No tracking.
Good for
- Freeing space on a full C: drive
- Finding what filled a laptop SSD
- Cleaning old downloads and installers
- Tracking down huge caches
- Keeping photo and video drives under control
